Part of the 8-piece collection titled 'Height of Land in Feet', created especially for the Friends of Ham exhibit in Ilkley.
Each piece in the collection contains a map segment of Yorkshire.
This is the only piece in the collection with two map segments. It contains the words 'HEIGHT OF LAND IN FEET' and gradient key from a 1951 map of the North Yorkshire Coast.
It also has a segment of Pen-y-Ghent from a 1973 map.
The title of this piece is also the title of the whole collection.
About 'Height of Land in Feet'
Height of Land in Feet gets its name from the 'key' language on a 1951 map used in one of the pieces used to indicate the height of the land on the map. Walkers, bikers, cyclists and hikers: this is a collection for people who enjoy the great Yorkshire outdoors!
