Part of the 8-piece collection titled 'Height of Land in Feet', created especially for the Friends of Ham exhibit in Ilkley.

Each piece in the collection contains a map segment of Yorkshire.

This piece contains the word 'YORKSHIRE" from a 1973 map of The Three Peaks.  It's the only piece in the collection that feature's a map underneath the painting, not in it.

About 'Height of Land in Feet'

Height of Land in Feet gets its name from the 'key' language on a 1951 map used in one of the pieces used to indicate the height of the land on the map.  Walkers, bikers, cyclists and hikers: this is a collection for people who enjoy the great Yorkshire outdoors!
