Lake District inspired: 'The Ridge' is my first canvas of 2024 and comes with a slice of Wainwright embeded.
 
This piece, I feel, came as the result of my climb up The Old Man of Coniston; the day was sunny and blue, dark clouds chased me up the ascent, the panorama was exhilarating!
 
Bottom right I've worked in the Principle Fells taken from a vintage 'Fourth Book: The Southern Fells' by A. Wainwright.  
 
This sundial, wheel detail has names on it lakes lovers will recognise from Blencathra, to Loughrigg fell, Scafell, Pike, and Skiddaw.  I've been unable to find out how old the book is.
