This canvas is a perfect example of my intuiative painting process.  It set out in more subtle, contemporary tones, abstract, definitely not floral; more geometric, and an exploration of colour and composition.
 
There came a point when that direction stopped flowing.  I wondered what was needed to take it to the next level and through to completion.  
 
And then... as I let go of trying to take it in any specific direction and went with the flow, flowers began to emerge.  Now, I could've shut flowers down because it's definitely not my usual style, but there's something about letting 'what's coming through', come through, and that's what's happened here.
 
'Life Finds A Way' feels like a fitting title.
